Grads in Games Careers Fair

If you’re interested in making games or working within the games industry, join Grads In Games at the Women In Games Festival for a free dedicated careers event for young people to meet with and hear from supportive studios that are actively hiring for entry-level roles.

The games industry in the UK is massive. Over 16000 people work across core game development roles with thousands more in studio support roles. Even so, it can be incredibly tough to find your first job, especially when also trying to find a studio that will be just right for you and provide you with the support that you need.

These are studios who are committed to positive change across the industry, many of whom will have progressive Diversity & Inclusion initiatives in place to ensure they are providing the most supportive environments for their staff as possible.

What you can get from this event

  • Find out about jobs, internships & alternative routes into games studios that you can access
  • Learn about the career support and progression available at games studios
  • Find out more about different studio cultures, policies and support networks.
  • Ask your own questions directly to studio hiring and development teams
  • Feedback and guidance on your CV and portfolio

The event is open to all, though will have a clear focus on providing advice and opportunities to women and people of other underrepresented genders considering a career the games industry.

Games studios will be available all afternoon, with developers and hiring managers able to speak to attendees about their studios, support initiatives, and the options available to you. There will also be a series of presentations from attending studios showing live on the Grads In Games Twitch channel. These presentations will introduce each studio, taking a bite-size look at their work, culture and hiring practices.
