GET READY FOR DEVELOP – LET’S MAKE BRIGHTON ROCK!

We’re looking forward to the Develop:Brighton event next week (July 12th-14th) and the Women in Games team will be there in force – come and join us!

Our CEO Marie-Claire Isaaman and Women in Games Research & Education Consultant Sharon Tolaini-Sage will be taking to the stage on Wednesday July 13th at 12-12.45pm to present the Women in Games Guide: Building A Fair Playing Field publicly for the very first time. This will take place in Room 6 at the Hilton Metropole and is a free event to attend, which means you just need to register for the expo to take part in the session.

That afternoon will play host to the popular Women in Games Fizz & Cake networking event, also taking place at the Hilton Metropole. This event is now sold out, but we hope to see as many of our friends, peers and allies there as possible.

The full conference line-up for Develop:Brighton can be found here and we’re delighted to see so many of the Women in Games community taking part. In addition, we have many colleagues and allies who are shortlisted for the Develop Star Awards, so good luck to everyone, and we look forward to celebrating with you all.

And finally, much kudos to the organisers of Develop:Brighton and the Awards, Tandem Events. Right from the start, it’s clear that they have had a strong Diversity and Inclusion policy, covering everything from the speaker line-up to accessibility. We were also hugely impressed and thankful to them for recently announcing that a creche will also be available for parents during the event. Find out more here – and hats off to the team at Tandem Events for introducing an initiative that will make a big difference to those with caring responsibilities.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible next week for what looks set to be a great few days!
