The session ‘Women in Games Asia: Mentorship and Its Real World Value’ focuses on the pivotal role of mentorship in the professional growth and success within the games sector.

The speakers include:

Aisyah Ambok, PlayStation Studios Malaysia: Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Aisyah has been an influential part of the local games industry since 2018. As a Women in Games Ambassador since 2020 and a leader in the Women in Games Asia team since 2022, she brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as Project Manager at PlayStation Studios Malaysia. Aisyah is driven by her dream of seeing the Southeast Asian region develop into a globally recognized hub for game development.

Luna Javier, Altitude Games: With over two decades of experience in the Philippine games industry, Luna is the Design Director at Altitude Games and the first female game developer in the Philippines. Her contributions span over 40 titles, including the groundbreaking Anito: ‘Defend A Land Enraged’ and the widely downloaded ‘Awakening’ series. An esteemed speaker, game awards judge, mentor, and a featured personality in ‘Women in Gaming: 100 Professionals of Play’, Luna is also a committed Women in Games Ambassador and a leader within the Women in Games Asia team since 2022.

Kah Hui Teo, Keywords Studios: Kah Hui brings over 15 years of industry experience to her role as Global Localisation Manager at Keywords Studios and serves as the Director of Women in Games Asia Chapter. A council member of the Keywords Studios Global Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Council, and involved in multiple industry-related committees, Kah Hui is dedicated to fostering diversity and mentorship in gaming. Her leadership extends to the Executive Committee of the Singapore Games Association and as the Mentorship and Education Manager of Women in Localisation Singapore Chapter.

This engaging panel promises to offer unique insights into the impact of mentorship from the perspectives of three remarkable leaders who are shaping the future of gaming in Asia. Attendees will gain invaluable knowledge on navigating career development in gaming, the importance of mentorship, and the strides being made towards a more inclusive industry.

This session forms part of the speaker programme taking place during the Careers, Development & Networking Expo – which takes place virtually on Thursday March 7th from 7am to 10pm GMT to take in all international time zones.

The event is free to attend, and also features a virtual expo area where you’ll be able to meet with studios and other companies who are hiring. These companies will also be hosting their own content, including talks, presentations and CV/portfolio reviews throughout the day.
