INTRODUCING WOMEN IN GAMES VOICES – ENSURING THE CONVERSATION CONTINUES

Women in Games is officially launching Women in Games Voices – a growing knowledge library that captures the expertise, ideas and experiences shared across our global community, making them accessible long after our events have ended.

Every year, Women in Games brings together speakers, industry leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs and advocates to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the games industry. These conversations inspire those in the room, but their value shouldn’t end when the event closes.

Women in Games Voices has been created to ensure that the knowledge shared across our events, programmes and research continues to educate, inform and inspire people around the world. Through a curated YouTube library of talks, interviews, panel discussions and expert insights, Voices transforms live events into a lasting resource that anyone can access, anywhere and at any time.

Whether someone is taking their first steps into the industry, building a leadership career, launching a studio or championing greater inclusion within their organisation, Women in Games Voices offers an opportunity to learn from the experiences of others and become part of an ongoing conversation.

Creating a lasting knowledge library
The games industry evolves rapidly, with new technologies, business models and ways of working constantly emerging. At the same time, many of the challenges facing the industry – from leadership and funding to diversity, career development and entrepreneurship – continue to evolve.

Women in Games Voices preserves the insight generated through our growing programme of events, ensuring that valuable knowledge remains available long after individual sessions have concluded. Rather than existing as one-off moments, presentations, discussions and interviews become part of a continually expanding library that reflects the breadth of expertise across the global Women in Games community.

Marie-Claire Isaaman, CEO of Women in Games, said: “Knowledge is one of the most valuable assets our community creates. Every event generates ideas, expertise and lived experience that deserve to reach far beyond the people able to attend on the day. Women in Games Voices is about making that knowledge openly accessible, extending the impact of every conversation and creating a permanent resource that people across the world can return to whenever they need inspiration, guidance or fresh perspectives. By preserving and sharing these voices, we’re ensuring that learning continues long after the event itself has finished.”

From events to enduring impact
Our recent event at the Develop Conference was built around the findings of Women in Games’ The Drop-Off: Women in Games from Players to Power and Capital Insight Report, which explored the persistent decline in women’s representation as careers progress through the games industry. By bringing together founders, investors and business leaders to discuss the report’s findings, the event demonstrated how research can spark meaningful dialogue, challenge assumptions and inspire action across the industry.

This connection between research and conversation sits at the heart of the Women in Games Voices initiative.

Gemma Brown, Co-Director of Women in Games, said: “Every Women in Games event is filled with incredible insight, experience and practical advice, and we wanted to ensure those conversations didn’t simply disappear once the session had ended. Women in Games Voices allows us to capture and share that knowledge with a global audience, creating a resource that people can return to whenever they need inspiration, guidance or a fresh perspective. It’s another way we’re supporting our community and ensuring more voices are heard across our industry.”

Alongside talks, interviews and panel discussions, Women in Games’ growing portfolio of Insight Reports and original research will also sit under the Voices umbrella. By bringing together evidence, expert analysis and the conversations they generate, Voices creates a richer knowledge resource that not only identifies the challenges facing the industry but also captures the ideas, experiences and practical solutions that emerge in response.

Future Women in Games events, research projects and Insight Reports will continue to contribute to the Voices collection, creating an ever-expanding library spanning leadership, career development, entrepreneurship, funding, inclusion, technology, education and the future of the games industry.

As the library grows, it will showcase a diverse range of speakers and perspectives from across the international games ecosystem, ensuring that valuable conversations remain accessible to everyone – not just those who were able to attend the original event.

Because some conversations deserve to last far beyond the moment they were first heard.
