Video games services provider to sponsor ‘Ambassador Programme Powered by Keywords
Keywords Studios, the international technical and creative services provider to the global videos games industry and beyond, today announces a new partnership with Women in Games to sponsor their renowned ambassador programme under the heading, ‘Ambassador Programme Powered by Keywords’.
Women in Games is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2009 with the mission to identify and effect the lasting change needed to bring about full gender equality, equity and parity of opportunity within the gaming sector and to encourage more women to consider games and eSports as a career.
Its Ambassador programme brings together individuals, industry and educators under one umbrella, all focussed on diversifying and strengthening the sector.
Keywords Studios works with the world’s leading video games publishers and developers across every stage of the video games development life cycle, for all major games platforms.
The new Women in Games ‘Ambassador Programme Powered by Keywords’ will work to enhance and accelerate the popular ambassador initiative, supporting additional projects and research, events, exclusive materials and services for Women in Games ambassadors.
Sonia Sedler, Joint Interim CEO of Keywords Studios, commented: “Keywords is proud to partner with Women in Games and to make a meaningful impact when it comes to supporting more women entering the video games industry.
“As an organisation, we are continually challenging ourselves to ensure that we provide a working environment that treats people with dignity and respect, is free from discrimination, and promotes fairness and equal opportunities.
“Keywords is fully committed to initiatives and activities that encourage women to pursue a career in video games, and this new and exciting partnership with Women in Games will allow us to be more active in addressing the underrepresentation of women in our industry.”
Women in Games CEO, Marie-Claire Isaaman, added: “Our Individual Ambassadors Programme was founded in 2016 and has been growing steadily ever since. We have been seeking a passionate and committed partner to power this programme, enabling us to take it to the next level. We have found one in Keywords Studios.
“We look forward to the exciting and ambitious impacts we can achieve together, helping create a gaming industry, culture and community free from discrimination, where full equity of opportunity, treatment and conditions empowers all girls and women, from all ethnicities, of all orientations, to achieve their full potential in the games and eSports industries.”
The announcement follows the recent establishment by Keywords Studios of its Global Diversity & Inclusivity Council, whose mission is to evolve Keywords’ approach to diversity and inclusion on a global, regional, and local level in order to have a measurable positive impact on people’s everyday lives.
