NATIONAL VIDEOGAME MUSEUM GAMES CAREERS WEEK – HELP THE NEXT GENERATION OF TALENT

Games Careers Week is returning for its third year. It is led and organised by The National Videogame Museum and supported by partners Women In Games, Into Games, Grads In Games and NextGen Skills Academy. It celebrates diverse pathways into a career in games for young people of all backgrounds through media, diverse developers, and online activities. Events will include game jams, workshops and talks, as well as a games careers fair taking place at The National Videogame Museum in Sheffield, UK on June 22nd and 23rd.
We’re delighted that a number of our Individual Ambassadors are contributing and taking part in the upcoming Games Careers Week – but we’d love for our wider community to get involved too.
Any organisation, school, university or games studio can participate in Games Careers Week by running events or taking part in a variety of activities throughout the week. Events can be as simple as a social media thread or a blog – a little will go a long way!
An event resource pack is available on the GCW website to help organisations create events to inspire and encourage young people to discover pathways into one of the UK’s fastest growing industries!
GCW 2023 takes place between June 19th and 25th June, organised by The National Videogame Museum and supported by partners Women In Games, Into Games, Grads In Games and NextGen Skills Academy. GCW 2023 is sponsored by Boneloaf and Sheffield Hallam University.
