NEWS FROM THE WOMEN IN GAMES ASIA CHAPTER

Once again, it has been a busy few months for our Asia Chapter. Here Women in Games Asia Director Kah Hui Teo shares a round-up of their activities and events…

Unreal Engine Singapore Community Meetup
Our Ambassadors were invited to the Unreal Engine Singapore Community Meetup which brought together creators, developers, artists, educators, and industry professionals passionate about real-time technologies, game development, and innovation.

Zubaida Nila, Women in Games Ambassador, Unreal Engine Singapore community organizer, was joined by Kah Hui Teo, Director of Women in Games Asia and Portfolio Director at Keywords Studios. They presented on Women in Games: Community, Careers and Representation. Together, they shared insights on fostering diversity, creating opportunities for women in games, and building stronger communities across the industry.

Indie Wavemakers Exchange 2026 in Singapore
We hosted a Women in Games community meet-up during the Indie Wavemakers Exchange, generously supported by WINGS Interactive, together with the Women in Games Asia leadership team, Kah Hui Teo, Nissie Arcega and Samantha Low. It was a joy to bring together women in the community from Singapore and across the region, and to welcome our newest Women in Games Ambassadors, Sophie Azlan and Remy Tanutama, in person.

Scopely 2026 ChinaJoy Women in Games Event in Shanghai
Our Ambassadors across Asia joined other women in the games industry for a ChinaJoy 2026 Women in Games event hosted by Scopely. Against the breathtaking view of Shanghai from the 93rd floor of Park Hyatt Shanghai, the panellists discuss a spectrum of topics about amplifying women’s voices in leadership, driving gender advancement and inclusion, and overcoming industry barriers. On the topic of the future of women in gaming, the speakers shared actionable insights such as pliable leadership principles in the digital era.
