WOMEN IN GAMES AT SPACE STOCKHOLM

A huge congratulations to our Ambassador Paula Fenjima Manrique who organised and hosted last month’s fantastic Women in Games at SPACE in Stockholm, Sweden.
Billed as the ultimate destination for gaming, networking and women’s empowerment, the event featured a night filled with fun, food and great entertainment. Most importantly, it provided an opportunity for new relationships to flourish across various sectors of the industry, from cosplay to esports.
Paula pulled together industry and local sponsors to support the event, and some 350 women and allies attended to enjoy tournaments, beauty salon treatments, pizza, talks and a ‘Games Are Art’ exhibition and online auction.
Gemma Johnson-Brown, Women in Games Ambassador Director and the organisation’s Co-Director, said: “We are grateful to any of our Ambassadors for hosting events of all kinds, from coffee mornings to local networking, from school visits and talks to online discussions – all help Women in Games to support women and girls in games and esports, and evangelise our goals and missions.
“However, we must applaud and thank Paula for her ambition and success in organising the Women in Games SPACE event. She is an inspiration to all our Ambassadors.”
