Women in Games is delighted to reveal that its second annual Careers & Networking Expo will take place on Wednesday November 10th.
The event comes following a successful outing for the first Women in Games Festival earlier this month, which took in a Conference, Awards, Esports Tournament, Games Jam, plus a series of Satellite Events.
A global event that will cover all time zones, the Careers & Networking Expo will feature an inspiring and insightful careers sessions programme, along with a virtual expo and extensive networking opportunities.
The Expo is free to attend. Simply register your place here – https://hopin.com/events/women-in-games-careers-and-networking-expo-2021/registration
The Careers & Networking Expo conference content will align with our four verticals of action: Community, Industry, Education and Policy. It will support Women in Games’ mission to progress the cause of gender equality by shining a light on talented women who are keen to build successful futures in an industry that needs their influence. And it will provide a platform for women to share their experiences and insights into their worlds of work, as well as celebrating 2021 Women in Games Awards winners.
Who should attend?
Everyone! The Careers & Networking Expo will provide advice and guidance to those looking to take their first steps into the games and esports sectors, as well as those women seeking to progress their careers.

Three ways to explore the Expo
Expo Booths: A vibrant collection of virtual booths will provide a huge range of opportunities to meet directly with studios and businesses keen to showcase their companies. The booths enable all kinds of interactions – from drop-ins to portfolio and CV reviews and talks, with a strong focus on communication of company values and ambitions.
Sessions: We are convinced that working in games and esports should provide women with not just a job, but a lasting, fulfilling career. To demonstrate the variety and richness of the possibilities that the sectors offer, we will host sessions with specialists in their fields, from programmers to artists, UX designers to community managers, sharing their stories and insights into their specialisms. We will also present winners of the 2021 Women in Games Awards, whose stories will provide inspiring examples of the achievements of women working in the sector.
Networking: We will be hosting the Careers Expo on the intuitive, highly interactive platform Hopin, enabling us to focus on making the world of work in games and esports as accessible as possible. Hopin offers dedicated networking spaces: You can search the event for those you might know who are attending; you can explore the networking roulette space, and meet new contacts; and even arrange one to one meetings. The sessions and event-wide chat provide opportunities for sharing views, making connections and exchanging knowledge and resources.
The Careers Expo will open doors, create connections, explore career pathways, and offer opportunities for innovation and dialogue. If you would like more information about hosting an Expo Booth during the Careers & Networking Expo, please email hello@womeningames.org, using the subject line ‘Careers Expo Booth’.
