WOMEN IN GAMES OPENS ASIA CHAPTER

A new chapter for Women in Games is opened this month – in more sense than one.

To reflect our truly global community and reach, Women in Games is opening a dedicated Asia Chapter. It will be headed up by Dan Sun, Riot Games’ Diversity & Inclusion Business Partner in the region (pictured above left), and Kah Hui Teo, Global Localisation Manager at Keywords Studios (pictured above right).

Dan Sun and Kah Hui Teo have outlined their vision: Women in Games Asia creates the blueprint on how to unleash the power of our community to improve accessibility and inclusion in the games industry for everyone.

Women in Games CEO Marie-Claire Isaaman offered: “These are exciting times for Women in Games as we continue to grow our community and our initiatives. We are delighted to be announcing our first Chapter in Asia, and look forward to working with Dan and Kah Hui who will be helping us with our ambitions and goals of promoting and supporting women in the region.

“And this is just the start. We look forward to announcing more international Women in Games Chapters in the coming months.”

Women in Games Asia Chapter’s Dan Sun and Kah Hui Teo added: “Women in Games Asia is the first international chapter to co-drive the Women in Games mission in the region. We commit to improving accessibility and inclusion from the gender perspective with grounded initiatives that provide our community with career development, networking, and industry recognition opportunities.

“’W Coffee’, our best known initiative, has reached out to more than 120 women in games from all major studios. Asia has many rich and unique cultures – we practice inclusion and diversity, starting from our very own community.

“Women in Games Asia Chapter is building its leadership team. If you are interested in being part of this movement, please reach out to Dan and Kah Hui on LinkedIn.”
