Monthly Social Network Gathering – June 2026
Join us each month for a relaxed and informal virtual networking event designed for everyone in the games industry.
Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out, our sessions offer a unique opportunity to connect, share, and learn from fellow professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The Real Power-up: Communities Working Together
Hosted by Out Making Games in partnership with Women In Games, this 60-minute session brings together two of the games industry’s most active advocacy communities to explore what genuine cross-community allyship looks like — and what it can achieve.
The session will make the case for coalition: drawing on the shared barriers facing our communities — from hiring bias to harassment to retention — and how cross-community solidarity has driven change in other industries. From there, we will dig into the practical reality of allyship: what it looks like inside a studio, at an event, in a hiring process — and where our communities sometimes talk past each other and why.
The discussion will be honest, forward-looking, and grounded in real experience, ending with a clear call to action: ways attendees can connect, collaborate, and show up for colleagues across both communities — starting the next day.
Speakers:
- Elli Shapiro: Director and Founder, Out Making Games.
- Jasmin Fox: Director, Out Making Games. Compensation Manager, Electronic Arts
When: Wednesday 10th June at 4pm BST / 5pm CET
