A new women-led games event is being lined up for International Women’s Day.

It’s the brainchild of Charmaine Duff and Jenny Windom, with the aim of sharing games by women developers on the dedicated website Women-Led Games and link to their platform of choice so that they can gain views and wishlists.

Developers and studios can sign up to have their games featured here:

Streamers and influencers are being encouraged to take part too.

Streamers can fill out the form here to play some demos of the games:

Influencers can sign up here to agree to cover the games on their social channel of choice:

If anyone else would like to participate in something like an interview about their experience as a woman in the industry (to be posted on the event’s website), they can sign up here:

Charmaine Duff (she/her) is the community and social media manager for SkyReach studio. She is passionate about all things indie games and advocating for women in the industry. She tells us that the cancellation of the Women’s Day Sale Event on Steam is what prompted her to start the Women-led Games Event. If you’d like to get to know more about her, you can find her on Twitter @CharTheCM.

Jenny Windom (she/her) is passionate about building communities and advocating for representation across all facets of the industry. Her current work includes Senior Influencer Manager at Kepler Interactive (Sifu, Scorn, Tchia), Lead Producer & Co-Owner of Soft Not Weak (Spirit Swap), Advisor for Kowloon Nights, and Wholesome Games organiser and host. You can also find her highlighting indie games and hosting a monthly video game club on her Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube channels under the handle Kimchica!
