Guild Esports Teams Up With Women In Games in Corporate Partnership
Guild Esports, the organisation co-owned by UK football legend David Beckham, has become a Women in Games Corporate Ambassador.
It has been announced today that Guild Esports will be partnering with Women in Games as a Corporate Ambassador.
Guild was launched in London in June 2020 with an ambition of building a culture of excellence. It currently fields professional teams across Fortnite, Rocket League, Apex Legends, FIFA and VALORANT, with many more esports disciplines in its remit for the coming months and offers a world-class Academy set-up for aspiring esports players, to help discover and empower the esports stars of tomorrow.
This new partnership with Women in Games is the latest development in an exciting year for Guild which has seen them sign major partnerships with Subway, Samsung and HyperX and launched the Guild Academy, an online platform that gives personalised coaching plans to the esports stars of tomorrow.
“Despite being just over a year old, Guild has demonstrated its commitment to diversity in esports, but also to nurturing a strong talent pipeline for esports athletes,” said Women in Games CEO Marie-Claire Isaaman. “We are delighted that they have joined us as Corporate Ambassadors, and we look forward to sharing their journey over the coming years.”
Kal Hourd, CEO of Guild, added: “We take great pride in being an Ambassador for Women in Games. At Guild, we are committed to finding and empowering the esports stars of tomorrow and using our platform to provide opportunities to a diverse group of people who may have previously been underrepresented in esports. We hope that by working with Women in Games we can help set a positive example to other esports organisations and be the change we want to see in the industry.
“Celebrating and harnessing diversity are at the core of our beliefs, and we believe this is reflected by our amazing staff, team of professional players and content creators. We look forward to working closely with Women in Games to improve the industry from the inside out.”
