The Women in Games Guide: Building A Fair Playing Field has crossed a new milestone; it’s now available in Polish. This fantastic achievement was celebrated with a launch at the recent Women in Tech Summit in Warsaw.
The Women in Tech Summit 2023 united over 500 speakers across three stages and hosted multiple workshops. The discussion panel highlighting the Guide – Level the Game: Building a Fair Playing Field – saw our Director of Projects and Publications Sharon Tolaini-Sage take part, along with Agnieszka Szamałek-Michalska (CD PROJEKT RED), Joanna Frej (Microsoft Xbox), Monika Paplinska (PlayStation), Joanna Lisiecka (Women in Tech), Piotr Matecki (Changemaker Educations and Futuregames gamedev school for Norway & Poland), and Patrycja Rodzinska-Szary (Polish Gamers Observatory).
Women in Games CEO Marie-Claire Isaaman said: “Seeing our Guide translated into Polish and being launched at such a prestigious event is a testament to the dedication of all those striving for gender equity in the gaming industry. A big thank you to SPIDOR and Dr Dominika Urbańska-Galanciak, for their commitment to our cause.
“The translated Guide is more than just a document; it’s an invitation to break barriers and make waves in the gaming industry. The journey towards a more inclusive and diverse gaming industry is not a sprint but a marathon, and every step counts.”
