SHARON TOLAINI-SAGE JOINS WOMEN IN GAMES EXEC BOARD

We are delighted that long-time Women in Games collaborator Sharon Tolaini-Sage has joined the Women in Games Executive Board.

Sharon becomes Director of Projects & Publications at Women in Games, joining Marie-Claire Isaaman (CEO), Gemma Johnson-Brown (Ambassadors Director), Lucy Rissik (Director of Partnerships), Ruth Falconer (Education Director) and Lisa Carter (Director PR & Comms).

She has been working with Women in Games since 2019 as an Advisory Board Member and Research & Education Consultant, and last year co-authored the Women in Games Guide: Building A Fair Playing Field with Marie-Claire. Work will begin on an updated version in the coming months.

Sharon’s background is in education, having worked as a Lecturer and Associate Professor at Norwich University of the Arts, plus the London College of Communication and the University of East Anglia.

She said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the accomplished and insightful Directors of Women in Games on the Executive Board. Women in Games’ mission to tackle the pressing issues of gender inequality in the games and esports industries couldn’t be more important. A vision of a future for the sector that fully embraces fairness, and fully supports women’s invaluable contribution is not a utopian dream – it is a perfectly achievable reality, and I am so pleased to be able to contribute to work that benefits everyone, whatever their gender.”

Women in Games CEO Marie-Claire Isaaman added: “Sharon’s contribution to Women in Games has been important, not least in co-authoring the Guide, as well as curating many of our conferences. We are delighted that she has agreed to join our Executive Board, and we all look forward to collaboratively taking our goals and missions forward.”
