Star Stable gallops in as latest Women in Games Corporate Ambassador

Star Stable, the studio behind the eponymous online horse game, has joined Women in Games as a Corporate Ambassador.

The Stockholm-based publisher is celebrating 10 years in business this year and its flagship title is ranked as the number one – and fastest growing – horse game in the world. The company has a mission to inspire, to celebrate the power of sisterhood and to have a meaningful global impact, transforming the gaming industry into a more open-minded and inclusive environment.

Having opened the recent Women in Games Conference with an inspiring keynote, we’re delighted that Star Stable has joined our fast-growing Corporate Ambassador programme.

Therese Forssell Lagerstam, Head of PR, Communications & Events at Star Stable offered: “We are extremely proud to become an ambassador for the progressive Women In Games. As a company, Star Stable Entertainment strives to put females in focus at every touchpoint, across our 360 entertainment, to the artists on our record label, to our employees (54% of whom currently identify as female). We share our core values with Women in Games, and I believe that by working together towards inclusivity in the gaming industry we can have a real and lasting impact and open the door for many more talented women.”

Marie-Claire Isaaman, CEO of Women in Games added: “Star Stable’s an inspiring story for women working in games everywhere. Having initially struggled to gain investment in their Star Stable Online game – because no one could see the potential for a game targeted at girls – they have proved the doubters wrong, and now boast the best-selling horse game in the world, with an audience that grows year-on-year. Their values of celebrating women and young girls aligns perfectly with Women in Games and we are delighted that they have joined us as Corporate Ambassadors.”
