WARWICK UNIVERSITY SEEKS MENTORS TO SUPPORT YOUNG ESPORTS ENTHUSIASTS
Women in Games Education Ambassador Warwick University is looking for industry mentors to support its Esports Futures skills programme.
The university opened its dedicated esports facility last year, as well as launching The Pack – an esports community open exclusively to women and non-binary individuals.
Now it is extending its support of esports enthusiasts to 16 to 24 year-old ‘NEETs’ – those not engaged in education, employment or training. And the university is looking for experts in a variety of sectors to join its participants to share insights into their worlds. Whether you are an accounting professional, hospitality expert, esports coach or anything inbetween, your support could change someone’s life!
The mentoring sessions will take place at the university’s esports facility from February 21st to 28th and Warwick University is asking for just one or two hours of individuals’ time to help this worthy initiative.
Esports Futures is part of the Warwickshire Brighter Futures project and is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund
