WELCOME TO OUR GROWING GLOBAL AMBASSADOR COMMUNITY

It’s always a pleasure to welcome new Ambassadors to Women in Games, and this month I’m delighted to welcome our latest cohort to a community that is now more than 2,700 strong, spanning 100 countries around the world.

Whether you have been an Ambassador for many years or have only just joined us, thank you for choosing to be part of this extraordinary global network of people who share our commitment to creating a games industry – and games culture – that is fair, equitable and free from gender discrimination.

Our Ambassadors are at the heart of Women in Games. You advocate for change within your workplaces and communities, create events and initiatives, share knowledge, support others and help us extend the reach of our work into countries and communities across the world. As the programme grows, so too does the potential of this collective network to make a difference.

As ever, I would also like to extend our thanks to Keywords Studios for powering the Women in Games Ambassador Programme and helping us to continue growing, connecting and supporting this incredible community.

Join us next week
For those who have just joined us, one of the best ways to get started is by attending our Ambassador Connects event next Thursday September 10th.

Taking place virtually via RingCentral from 2.30pm–7.30pm BST, Ambassador Connects is your opportunity to find out more about what is happening across Women in Games, discover the resources and support available to you, hear directly from Ambassadors who are already creating change, ask questions and meet other members of our global community.

And this time, we’re asking you to bring a friend. Invite a colleague, peer or someone you think would make a fantastic Ambassador and give them the opportunity to experience the Women in Games community for themselves.

I particularly encourage our newest Ambassadors to join us. There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you want to do as an Ambassador. This event is there to help you discover the possibilities, make connections and find the ways in which you can contribute.

Help us grow our impact
Finally, I’d like to ask for your help in another way. Women in Games is a not-for-profit organisation, and the work we do – from our global Ambassador community and events to research, advocacy, education and initiatives designed to create meaningful change – is only possible because of the organisations that choose to support us.

If you work for a games studio, publisher, developer, service provider or another organisation connected with the games industry, please consider introducing your employer to our Corporate Ambassador Programme.

And if you work within a university, college, school or other learning organisation, please encourage your colleagues and institution to explore our Education Ambassador Programme.

Becoming an organisational Ambassador is an opportunity to support the wider Women in Games mission while becoming part of an international ecosystem working across industry, education, policy, community and culture to drive lasting change.

Every introduction, conversation and connection helps us extend our reach and strengthen the work we can do together.

To our newest Ambassadors: welcome to Women in Games. And to all 2,700+ of you across 100 countries – thank you for being part of this community, for lending your voices to our mission and for helping us continue to turn our shared ambition into action.

I hope to see many of you at Ambassador Connects next week.
