CREATIVE ASSEMBLY, DOVETAIL GAMES, HANGAR 13, ROCKSTEADY & TESTRONIC BACK THE WOMEN IN GAMES GLOBAL AWARDS

There are just over two weeks until the winners of the Women in Games Global Awards are announced via a live broadcast on Saturday September 17th.

The shortlists have been announced, and the judges and public are now casting their votes.

The Women in Games Global Awards – like many of our events – is free to participate, and we rely on the support of our partners and allies to allow us to carry out this important work. So, we would like to thank the sponsors of our Awards, namely:

  • Creative Assembly – Student Achievement category
  • Dovetail Games – Individual Ambassador category
  • Hangar 13 – Individual Diversity Advocate category
  • Rocksteady – Community Group Making An Impact category
  • Testronic – Corporate Ambassador category

Here, some of them explain why they are supporting the 2022 Women in Games Global Awards…

“Dovetail Games is pleased to announce we are sponsors of this year’s Women In Games Career’s Expo. Events such as this are key to supporting more women into the gaming industry and we are keen to also drive this talent further into our own business. For us, sharing about the opportunities we have at Dovetail to make exciting simulation games is a pleasure and we hope that our part in this event plays an even bigger role in inspiring and driving talented women into our sector.”
Lindsey Shorricks, VP of HR, Dovetail Games

“The Women in Games Global Awards is an incredibly important event which showcases the brilliant women working in games, esports and education who are helping to bring about change when it comes to gender diversity and inclusion. The ambition and mission of Women in Games aligns with our own here at Testronic – to encourage more women and girls to consider a career in games, and to support them throughout their journey. We are honoured to be a Women in Games Corporate Ambassador to demonstrate our support of the organisation’s work, and to underline our own commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. The work that all Women in Games Corporate Ambassadors do to help bring about change across the industry is vital. Collectively, we can make a difference. Therefore, we are delighted to be presenting the Women in Games Award for Outstanding Corporate Ambassador.”
Ann Hurley, Senior VP of Sales & Marketing, Testronic

“Creative Assembly is sponsoring this year’s Women in Games Global Award for Student Achievement, which strongly aligns with the ambitions of our educational outreach programme, the Legacy Project. We continue to strive for more diversity in our growing industry, and it is fantastic to see so much potential within our education establishments and organisations. These individuals will no doubt go on to be our game development heroes and leaders of the future.”
Emma Smith, Director of Talent and Social impact at Creative Assembly

Good luck to all the finalists – and we look forward to announcing the winners later this month!

The Awards will be broadcast via the Women in Games Twitch Channel on Saturday September 17th at 7pm BST.
